Who we are

Part of the United Sons family

The Warehouse is the self-storage arm of United Sons Moving Services, a Cairo moving company that has been packing, moving and storing people's homes for more than 35 years.

Over those years we've moved thousands of families across Cairo, across Egypt and around the world. We know how belongings should be wrapped, carried and kept, and we built The Warehouse around that experience.

We are investing more than 200 million EGP in our own warehouses. We own and run the building, so your things stay with the same team from the day we pick them up to the day you collect them.

Pick your space

Every room is individually locked with a full 2.70 m ceiling. Rates are per month, exclude VAT, and are based on a minimum stay of 3 months.

Packing & moving service

We pack it, move it and store it

Don't want to move it yourself? Our United Sons crew comes to your home, packs everything properly and brings it straight to your room at The Warehouse. When you're ready, we deliver it back to your new address.

Good to know

What do I need to rent a unit?

A valid national ID or passport, a phone number, and your first payment. We sign a short rental agreement on move-in day.

What's the minimum rental period?

Our rates are based on a minimum stay of 3 months. After that you can continue month to month.

When can I access my unit?

Saturday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We're closed on Fridays. If you need access outside those hours, tell us in advance and we'll try to arrange it.

What kind of building is it?

A solid reinforced-concrete building, not a metal shed or hangar like many storage places. Concrete walls and roofs stay cooler in Cairo's summer, keep out dust and rain, and protect your things far better against heat and break-ins.

Do prices include VAT?

No. Monthly rates are shown excluding VAT, which is added to your invoice.

What can't I store?

Anything flammable, perishable, illegal or alive: fuel, gas cylinders, chemicals, food, plants and animals. Ask us if you're unsure about an item.

Are my things insured?

The whole building is insured. Insurance companies in Egypt don't offer policies for individual belongings in storage, so the items inside each room aren't insured separately. Instead, we protect them with a solid concrete building, 24/7 guards and cameras, a private lock on every room and regular pest control.

Can you move my things for me?

Yes. Our United Sons crew can pack, dismantle, collect and deliver straight into your room, and bring everything back when you're ready. Choose a moving option in your reservation and we'll send you a quote.
